Vista Versions and Ford

Ed Bott says that the number of new Vista Versions is not so confusing.  I agree.  I think the people who are confused are the same people who thought it was bad when Ford had to introduce colors other than black for their Model T!

Jarrett House North says that he's drowing in comment spam.  I don't understand comment spam.  Are the spammers trying to get links from popular websites to their spammy sites?  If so, why not just prevent links from working in comments.   Are they directly trying to sell crap from the comment itself?  That's got to be a low percentage yield.  Jarrett says he never gets meaningful trackbacks.  Will he consider this meaningful?

CAPTCHAs GOTCHA

Fred says that CAPTCHAs don't work in preventing comment spam on his blog.  There are three possibilities:  1)  Humans are directly adding the spam, 2)  The TypePad CAPTCHA algorithm has been broken by some fancy character recognition engine 3) The internet Axis of Evil is using something like Amazon's Mechanical Turk, which is really another form of 1.   My bet is on 1.
